Anyone can help make a difference through gifts to the Community Foundation of Washington County MD, Inc.
Let us help you create a better future that can be passed from one generation to the next. The Foundation offers you permanent, yet flexible, ways to make a significant difference through your giving, including:
- The Foundation accepts donations to existing funds in any amount and form. The donations are invested as permanent endowments that earn annual returns for disbursement to qualified charitable causes.
- The Foundation can create new funds with a minimum donation of $5,000. At the donor's request, the original donation is never spent and continues to generate income in perpetuity, creating a tax-deductible legacy of giving for generations to come.
Gifts made to the Community Foundation, in any amount, are tax deductible. Direct your gift to an established fund, to the Foundation's operational expenses, or to unrestricted grants to community nonprofits.
It takes an initial gift of just $1,000 to create a named fund to support your personal charitable interests.
