Washington County Gives, a 24-hour online, giving day, takes place each May to benefit local nonprofit organizations in Washington County. Celebrating its seventh year, this event saw $672,000 raised for 96 local nonprofits in donations, matching funds and prize money.

The three nonprofits to raise the most dollars included Cedar Ridge Children’s Home & School, Saint James School and The Maryland Theatre. Rounding out the top ten were Brooke’s House, Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Hagerstown Ice Amateur Athletic Association, For Otis Sake, Fahrney Keedy, Humane Society of Washington County and Washington County Community Action Council.

In seven years, Washington County Gives has raised more than $3 million for our community.
