Accepting Applications for the Gene Wiles Memorial Fund

Applications are now being accepted for the Gene Wiles Memorial Fund. This award, created in memory of Gene Wiles, will once again provide a grant through a qualifying organization to support a young adult (ages 16-21) from Washington County, Maryland or the surrounding area, who is pursuing an agricultural endeavor. This award is not intended to be a scholarship and thus cannot be used for college tuition.

Applicants must live in Washington County, Maryland or the surrounding area and be between the ages of 16 and 21. Applicants should be affiliated with 4-H programs, the FFA, or the Washington County Agriculture Board. Projects must be directly related to agricultural interests. [Recipients will be required to provide appropriate documentation of expenditures.]
