Brenna Boland Receives Bill Dorsey Scholarship for the Barbara Ingram School
Barbara Ingram School for the Arts High School sophomore Brenna Boland received this year’s Bill Dorsey Scholarship for the Barbara Ingram School, a component fund of CFWC. After winning a People’s Choice Award in 2008, Reverend Janice Dorsey named the endowment established in her honor after her late husband; thus, creating the Bill Dorsey Scholarship. This scholarship provides a $550 grant to a student at BISFA to help offset the cost of materials, supplies and other items directly related to their arts discipline.
Brenna Boland is a dancer at BISFA and participated in last year’s musical production of “Seussical.” She has danced for 13 years and serves as an assistant instructor at her dance studio. Boland plans to use her award to purchase dance shoes and costumes, and hopes to attend a summer dance camp.
