Community Foundation Scholarships Presented at North Hagerstown High School

The Community Foundation of Washington County MD recently presented the following scholarships at North Hagerstown High School:

  • Melissa Collins Memorial Scholarship of $250 to Paige Kutzera
  • Christine Ecker Memorial Scholarship of $575 to Kayla Erny
  • Quinn Hoover Legacy Boy Scout Scholarship of $1,000 to Ben Forrest
  • Ryan Myers Memorial Scholarship of $4,000 ($1,000 each year) to Mary Kinman North High Sch6-16

Paige Kutzera participated in All County Chorus, both North High’s music and drama programs and served as SGA President and National Honor Society Secretary. She plans to pursue a degree in journalism at a four-year university.Kayla Erny was a cheerleader, in the Teaching Academy at North High, served as a toddler teacher at her church and had an internship at Fountaindale Elementary School. She will attend Hagerstown Community College and pursue associate degrees in both early childhood education and business administration.Ben Forrest served as president of the drama club, was in Boy Scout Troop 103, on the varsity football team and co-president of his senior class. He plans to go to a four-year university and pursue a degree in mathematics education.Mary Kinman served as an FCA Huddle Leader, Vacation Bible School Leader, FC Frederick Club Soccer Captain and started a food pantry for North High at Children in Need. She will attend a four-year university and major in occupational therapy.
