Fund for Brooke’s House Created

Established with a gift from Middletown Valley Bank, the Fund for Brooke's House was recently created at the Community Foundation of Washington County MD This fund will benefit the sober living home for adult women in the early stages of substance abuse recovery in Washington County. Kevin and Dana Simmers started Brooke’s House in memory of their daughter who died in 2015 from a heroin overdose at the age of 19. Brooke’s House serves as a legacy to their daughter’s struggle with addiction, and a community resource to help save the lives of other women struggling with drug abuse.BJ Goetz, Kevin Simmers, Kathy Stevens, Angie Shubert, Stacey Crawford, John GreenPictured: B.J.
