George R. Moore Wildlife Preservation Fund Accepting Applications

The Community Foundation of Washington County MD has applications open for the George R. Moore Wildlife Preservation Fund. This grant will award $1,300 to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Washington County, Maryland, involved in wildlife preservation. Past recipients include last year's recipient Beaver Creek Watershed Association, along with the Washington County Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation and Potomac Valley Audubon Society in years past.George Moore was a farmer and an educator who passed away in 2013 in Williamsport. His estate created the George R. Moore Wildlife Preservation Fund to support organizations working to preserve wildlife in the local area.To apply, CLICK HERE. Deadline is August 31st, 2020 at midnight.
