George R. Moore Wildlife Preservation Grant Available

The Community Foundation of Washington County MD has applications open for the George R. Moore Wildlife Preservation Fund. This grant will award $1,300 to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Washington County, Maryland, involved in wildlife preservation. Past recipients include the Washington County Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation and Potomac Valley Audubon Society.George Moore was a farmer and an educator who passed away in 2013 in Williamsport. His estate created the George R. Moore Wildlife Preservation Fund to support organizations working to preserve wildlife in the local area.Online applications for this grant are due August 30.
