Paul Lawson Memorial Aviation Scholarship Seeking Applicants

The Paul Lawson Memorial Aviation Scholarship is open to applications for its very first time, seeking applicants pursuing aviation lessons. Deserving students between the ages of 15-25 and be a resident of Maryland or West Virginia.

Paul passed away in November, 2021. Born a Baltimore native in 1958, he graduated from Woodlawn High School before attending the Peabody Institute. He went on to become a flight instructor at the Aero-Smith Flight Center and eventually became a Boonsboro resident alongside his wife Rebecca. He enjoyed flying, and was a highly-skilled machinist. A proud member of the Leetown Chapter of Izaak Walton League, the National Flying Club Chapter 1071, and the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) 1071, this fund preserves his passion for aviation.
