Peyton’s Promise Fund

Josh and Casey Swope created the Peyton’s Promise Fund at the Community Foundation of Washington County MD to memorialize Josh’s daughter, Peyton, who passed away in June. Peyton was a student at Northern Middle School, getting ready to start eighth grade. She was a gifted musician and played the clarinet in both the school band and jazz band. Peyton wanted to learn as many instruments as possible and hoped to attend Barbara Ingram School for the Arts.Peyton’s Promise Fund will provide an annual grant to a student for a musical instrument or instrumental needs in Washington County Public Schools.Donations can be made in Peyton’s memory to the Community Foundation at 37 S.
