Sarah Burge Becomes New Director of Grants & Donor Relations

The Community Foundation of Washington County MD, Inc. announces Sarah Burge as its new director of grants and donor relations.Sarah has an associate’s degree in business administration from Hagerstown Community College (HCC) and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Journalism from Shippensburg University. She also has a Master of Science in Sport Management from California University of Pennsylvania.For the past four years, Sarah served as the development coordinator for HCC, where she coordinated all athletic scholarships, re-organized and led the Booster Club, managed all volunteers and directed various fundraising events. She has been an adjunct instructor at HCC since 2012 in the HPELS department. Prior to HCC, Sarah was the Athletic Operations Administrator at Community College of Baltimore County, Catonsville. She is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Maryland Chapter.“I’m looking forward to meeting with donors and showing them how they can make an impact on our community,” said Sarah. “I’m also excited to work with all of the different nonprofit organizations through the Community Foundation.”
