Tenth Annual Washington County Gives 2022 Date Announced, Registration Open

The Community Foundation of Washington County MD, Inc. announces plans to host its tenth annual Washington County Gives on Tuesday, May 10th, from midnight to midnight. This 24-hour online fundraiser provides participating local nonprofits the opportunity to raise unrestricted dollars as well as receive pro-rated matching funds and prize money.Registration is currently open at washingtoncountygives.org for 501(c)(3) organizations with Washington County, MD headquarters. Registration cost is $300 for organizations with paid staff and only $65 for those with volunteer staff.“Last fiscal year was a huge achievement for us! September 2020’s day of giving happened after pandemic-related delays, and before we knew it, May 2021 was here and we were doing it all over again. We were so proud to announce that between the two, we raised $1.1 million for participating nonprofits,” says Director of Marketing and Communications Tim Luipersbeck.For Community Foundation fund holders, we’re also presenting the option to give in advance, as a disbursement from your fund, directly to a participating nonprofit.“It’s more than just competing for top fundraiser. Each year, we seem to have the participation of brand new nonprofits and seeing them win substantial prizes, and get the much-due recognition from this event is really gratifying,” says Luipersbeck.Sponsorships are also being sought.
