“Tootie’s Token” Memorial Fund Created for Ty’kerria Dawson

Tykerria-Dawson-1122x1496Family and friends of the late Ty’kerria Dawson recently established the “Tootie’s Token” Memorial Fund at the Community Foundation of Washington County MD, Inc. to memorialize her, following the tragedy that claimed her life in June 2020. Fondly bearing a childhood nickname, “Tootie’s Token” will support the educational, physical and emotional needs of students of Antietam Academy, where Dawson had recently graduated.Ty’kerria was a Hagerstown native who enjoyed time with family and friends, was a familiar face within her community, and loved to dance. Loved ones feel that she would have appreciated funds collected in her name going towards helping students at the same place that played such a large part in her life.Donations may be made in Ty’kerria’s memory to the Community Foundation at 37 S. Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740 or on the Foundation’s website at www.cfwcmd.org. Simply click “Donate Now” at the top of the homepage and select “Tootie’s Token” to make a donation.
