Valentina Macarisin Memorial Scholarship Created at Community Foundation

The Miller and Macarisin families recently created the Valentina Macarisin Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation to memorialize Valentina who passed away in 2014 from leukemia. Valentina attended Smithsburg Middle School. Remembered for her artistic spirit, she had a passion for photography and singing and dreamed of attending Barbara Ingram School for the Arts.Valentina MacarisinThe Valentina Macarisin Memorial Scholarship will benefit a student at Barbara Ingram School for the Arts studying visual arts with a talent for photography or vocal music, pursuing a post-secondary education at an accredited college or university.Donations can be made in Valentina’s memory to the Community Foundation at 37 S.
