Warehouse Cinemas Partners with Community Foundation, Awards Scholarships to Employees

(L to R): Scholarship recipients Zhane Sligh, Ena Martinez, Keira Emshoff, Sarah Burrier, Leslie Funes, Riley Hopkins, Camden Tucker, Sean Neal, Ryleigh McKenzie, Mel Carter.

Warehouse Cinemas has partnered with The Community Foundation of Washington County MD to create a scholarship fund to reward their employees. Annual recipients will excel in the classroom, work at one of their locations, and be planning to pursue post-secondary education after graduating high school.

"Learning and development is a really important part of our culture at Warehouse Cinemas. Many of our team members are early in their career, and we wanted to find a way to give back and support their long-term goals. This is a great opportunity for us and the surrounding community to have a positive impact on our employees as they pursue their future careers at Warehouse Cinemas and beyond," said Kristen Grove, Warehouse Cinemas Director of Human Resources.

During Warehouse Cinema’s annual employee meeting, held Saturday January 28th at their Leitersburg location, a cumulative $10,000 was distributed to the following employees: Sarah Burrier, Mel Carter, Keira Emshoff, Leslie Funes, Riley Hopkins, Ena Martinez, Layla Massiatte, Ryleigh McKenzie, Sean Neal, Zhane Sligh, and Camden Tucker.

This partnership with the Community Foundation of Washington County demonstrates how local businesses can reward and support their employees’ educational goals with the assistance offered by the Foundation.
