This May 11th “Day of Giving” was the ninth consecutive year that The Community Foundation of Washington County MD, Inc. managed this philanthropic initiative. It presents annual opportunities for Washington County nonprofits to raise unrestricted dollars for their organization. Designed to be an exciting and unifying community effort, Washington County Gives also presents the chance for nonprofits to discover and engage new donors by sharing their mission. $75,000 of this year’s overall amount consists of matching dollars and prizes distributed to participants.

“We are blown away at the outpouring of support from businesses and from our participating community sponsors. Since we just had our last Washington County Gives in September of 2020, we weren’t quite sure what to expect. The fact that we have raised $1.1 million solely from this event all within the same fiscal year is astounding,” says President & CEO Stacey Crawford.
