Washington County Gives Brings in More Than $672,000

The Community Foundation of Washington County MD, Inc. announced that Washington County Gives, the 24-hour online giving day, raised $672,211 in donations, matching funds and prizes. The event saw 3,508 gifts go to one or more of the 96 participating nonprofit organizations.SocialShare2The three nonprofits to raise the most dollars included Cedar Ridge Children’s Home & School, Saint James School and The Maryland Theatre. Rounding out the top ten were Brooke’s House, Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Hagerstown Ice Amateur Athletic Association, For Otis Sake, Fahrney Keedy, Humane Society of Washington County and Washington County Community Action Council.In seven years, Washington County Gives has raised more than $3 million for our community.For more information on Washington County Gives, please visit www.washingtoncountygives.org.
