Washington County Gives Registration Ends March 1

Registration for Washington County Gives 2019 ends March 1 for any nonprofit organization (other than a church, mosque, temple or private foundation) in Washington County, MD, with a 501(c)(3) IRS determination letter who wants to participate in this 24-hour online fundraiser. The Community Foundation of Washington County MD, Inc. will host the seventh annual Washington County Gives on May 7, 2019 from midnight to midnight, giving local nonprofits an opportunity to raise unrestricted dollars for their organization as well as receive pro-rated matching dollars and prize money.Registration runs January 28-March 1, 2019. To register, nonprofit organizations must complete an online registration form at www.washingtoncountygives.org, a Memorandum of Understanding and return their registration fee by March 1. Nonprofit organizations with paid staff have a $250 registration fee and organizations with volunteer staff have a $50 registration fee.Community Foundation’s Director of Communications Ally Sirbaugh said, “In addition to our many donors, we had a lot of sponsors who helped make 2018’s event so successful. We were able to provide participating nonprofits $115,000 in matching funds and prizes on top of their online donations. Over the course of six years, Washington County Gives has raised $2.4 million for our community.”
