Washington County Technical High School Awards Community Foundation Scholarships

Washington County Technical High School presented the following Community Foundation scholarships:

  • Jon Christopher Gauss, Jr. Auto Mechanic Scholarship of $500 to Christopher Rosenberry
  • Quinn Alec Hoover Legacy Scholarship of $1,000 to Alexis Lewis
  • Lawrence and Genevieve Martin Scholarship of $275 to Joshua MillerTech Hich Schl Rec7-16

Christopher Rosenberry belonged to Boy Scout Troop 414 and volunteered at the Humane Society of Washington County and Antietam Creek Watershed Alliance. He will attend James Rumsey Technical Institute to major in automotive technology.Alexis Lewis participated in cross country, indoor track and field, the prom committee and the Tech High Expressions Literary and Visual Arts Magazine. She volunteered at the Western Maryland Hospital Center and Rockland Woods Elementary School. Miss Lewis plans to go to a four-year university and major in pre-physical therapy.Joshua Miller was in the Small Dairy Farm 4-H program, volunteered for the Maugansville Little League and worked full-time in construction with United Enterprises. He received admittance to the ABC/Barr Construction Institute to pursue a career in carpentry.
