Wesley Dylan Oakes Scholarship Established at Community Foundation

Sharon King recently created the Wesley Dylan Oakes Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation of Washington County MD to memorialize her son who passed away in 2012. Wesley played football in high school and graduated in 2006 from Middletown High School. He owned and operated Green Oakes Landscaping and enjoyed fishing, hunting, four wheeling, camping and playing his guitar.Wesley picThe Wesley Dylan Oakes Scholarship will make its first award in 2019 to a graduating senior from Williamsport High School involved in humanitarian work both in and out of school who plans to pursue a career in one of the following areas or a related discipline: landscape architecture, forestry, wildlife management or behavioral health.Donations can be made in Wesley’s memory to the Community Foundation at 37 S.
