Wyatt Haggerty Memorial Scholarship Established

Carol and Cheyenne Haggerty created the Wyatt Haggerty Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Community Foundation of Washington County MD, Inc. to memorialize Wyatt who passed away in July. Wyatt was a senior in mechanical engineering at the University of Maryland. He volunteered at a local soup kitchen and served as a “Big Buddy” at Hospice of Washington County’s Camp Hope ‘N Cope. Wyatt enjoyed riding his bike and playing cards. The Wyatt Haggerty Memorial Scholarship will make its first award in 2019 to a rising junior or senior enrolled in the collaborative mechanical engineering program at Frostburg State University.Donations can be made in Wyatt’s memory to the Community Foundation at 37 S.
